My name is Diego Hodge. I’m a recording engineer, musician, and sound designer based in Los Angeles, CA. I began recording as a teenager, experimenting with a few microphones and a standalone recorder, as well as collaborating with friends. While attending College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, I had access to the school’s studio where I finished his first album. After receiving an AA in music composition in 2012, I was heavily focused on writing and performing with my band, until 2016, when my focus shifted from live performance to recording. My recording philosophy revolves around providing a comfortable and creative environment for artists to capture a performance, while experimenting with new sounds. I encourage artists to work in the way that makes sense to them. Some artists love using a metronome, others have never used one, some artists like recording each instrument separately, others prefer to play together live in the room, I’m happy to accommodate any of these approaches! My services include, tracking/recording, editing, mixing, and producing. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you might have!
